Dr Saravana Kothandapani Dont give the CL prescription either free or for additional charge. If the pt asks for a prescription for poison, can we give it free or for additional charge? CLs cannot be worn by the pt by themselves. It has to be assessed for the fit, tear exchange, and other parameters by the consultant who advised the CLs in the first place. Once it is determined that it is ok to wear, then there is the question of who will train the pt and troubleshoot post wear complications? If you are intending to outsource all of these to a third party not under your supervision, the pt may as well get the prescription also from that third party. Why kitchidify the process with a prescription from you, sale by an online vendor, self training by trial & error by the pt, followed by trouble shooting and invited medico legal compensation for acanthamoeba keratitis from your pocket? It's better to say that such kitchidification is not in patients best interests and that it is better that a single consultant who starts the treatment process gets to complete it. If the pt does not trust you with your delivery capabilities on the end product, and walks away, be thankful that you have avoided a bigger loss down the line when what you earn in 1000 cases will be lost in a single case when it lands in court..

Dr Arumuga Nainar I don't give prescription for CL. When they ask for it....I politely tell them that I cannot check the CL power once they get it from out side...and I cannot assure you that particular brand will be suitable for your eyes..
